RSM provides additional enhancements that are essential to the food and beverage industry
RSM understands the challenges and opportunities
facing all segments of the food and beverage industry, including
production to distribution of proteins, dairy products, produce, snack foods
and more. In response, RSM provides our clients with the RSM Dynamics 365
Business Central Food Industry Bundle. Our bundled solution includes a number of features necessary to meet the
complex food industry’s demanding needs.
- Industry essentials is a collection of enhancements to standard Business Central to meet the needs of food and beverage companies. Key features include: Fill and Cancel, Order Release Minimums, BOM and Routes by Location, and much more.
- Quality Management tracks quality test results for an item and associated lots or serial numbers. Test results can be tracked and recorded based on item and/or customer characteristics. This solution prevents untested and/or failed item lots from being shipped to a customer or used in production by placing lots on hold. Additionally, a customer facing Certificate of Analysis can be generated based on the recorded quality results.
- The Freshness Rules solution allows an organization to restrict the availability of an Item Lot Number based on the customer’s shelf-life requirements. Freshness Rules also provides the flexibility to override tolerance violations when necessary, but provides users warning messages during the picking and shipping process to clearly identify that the item lot does not meet the defined tolerance.
- Lot Trace and Safety extends the standard Business Central lot traceability functionality. It allows for entire lots to be put on hold and automatically moves them to a designated hold location. Additional lot characteristics can be used in tracing as well.
- The Vendor Certification solution provides the functionality to define, track, and monitor certifications for each Vendor or Vendor Order Address. Vendor Certification assures that a supplier’s product is produced, packaged, and shipped under a controlled process resulting in consistent conformance to meet the buyer’s requirements.
All of this functionality is
bundled to present an effective starter solution for the Food and Beverage
Industry. A number of additional
accelerators are available separately.
